When on the projects listing page you now have the ability to filter the visible list of projects by typing in a filter string at the top of the user interface. Currently, this filters on the name of the project only. More filtering capabilities will be added soon.

Additionally, when you create a new project from a template project, you can now choose to copy the tasks over from that project template as well. If you prefer starting off projects with a few common tasks, this enables you to create those tasks just once in a template project and then copy them to your new project.
